Lambing on Loch Lomond
Every spring we welcome over 1000 new lambs to the farm. It is one of our busiest times of year but is a real highlight of our farming calendar and we invite you to come and see why.
Visits to the lambing shed are hands-on, intimate experiences. You will find out some fascinating facts about our sheep and lambs, maybe even help us with some chores. Hopefully you can watch a lamb being born and get plentiful opportunities to cuddle some of our pet lambs.
Please remember that these are docile yet wild animals and they run to their own schedule so we cannot guarantee active or swift labours!
Lambing live visits are available from 21st April to 10th May every year.
Full Day: Sessions run from 10am – 5pm and cost £95 per person*
The farmer will be with you throughout your visit as you get real hands-on experience with the labouring ewes and their new-born lambs. Feed them, hug them, love them! A full 3-course, home-cooked lunch will be provided.
Half Day: Sessions run from 2pm – 5pm and cost £50 per person*
During your visit, you will have time to quiz the farmer, observe and help out as new lambs are born and enjoy cuddles and feeding time with them.
After School & Evening Visits: Sessions run from 4.30pm – 6pm and cost £15 per person**
Weekend Visits: 1.5 hour visits commencing at 2pm and 4pm costing £15 per person**
These taster sessions give you the chance to snuggle and feed the baby lambs as they take their first wobbly steps and make their first bleat. There is no better way to end a day.
For all sessions, please wear warm practical clothing that you don’t mind getting mucky.
Please be advised that lambing shed visits are very popular so advance booking is recommended. Tickets are released in January, check here or follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates!
